Our Road Trip Out West
Our Western road trip took us three weeks and 6,006 highway miles. Connie and I visited 17 states and arrived back with a new appreciation about our great Nation. After visiting family in Cincinnati, we headed west and crossed over the Mighty Mississippi in Moline, Illinois on September 23. We crossed back over at Natchez, Mississippi on October 8. Below are some of the photos we took along our road trip out west and back.

From Iowa to Las Vegas/Hoover Dam, our trip backtracked the original vintage bus trip Connie’s cousins took a decade ago. After learning about their once in a. lifetime road trip on a decades old motor coach, I knew their story would inspire a classic vacation story. From Las Vegas through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama followed my new novel’s road trip. The story’s vintage motor coach, aptly named “The Beast,” transports twelve intergenerational passengers. It takes them on an unforgettable road trip from California to Georgia. Stay tuned…
