Pondering Thoughts…
I am writing this from my sunny deck in Milledgeville, GA. Can you believe it has been 70+ degrees the last week of February? Our sprinkler system has been activated as the day-lilies are busting out everywhere. It’s this type of weather that makes me appreciate living here. I have been cramped in my writing room of the house this winter, but now I can bang away on my laptop under our pergola covered deck. Are you jealous?
Tonight, a tribute play for Alice Walker’s birthday, The Color Purple, is being presented in Eatonton. What an honor to attend. A week ago, Connie and I visited Andalusia with its Flannery O’Connor Museum and restored house with many of her items on display. We could actually walk to Andalusia since our new home is across 441 from the entrance to Andalusia.
Spring means more than being busy writing. Between now and the beginning of summer, my calendar is cluttered with March, April, May and June author events and conferences and workshops. And February got me warmed up with three great events last month.

I just pray I can continue to enjoy meeting and mingling with all of you and still find time to write and rewrite the next two books that I have begun. At 73, fast approaching 74, I confess to wondering how long these old gray brain cells will keep up with my heart.
